Ok I got an odd question never seen a post on this issue

Alright, I am super sensitive with using various products and I break out severely or have bad rashes...yada yada yada.

But, we buy these sex toys that I only use once and I cannot use again. I mean they are brand new except for a few moments use until I feel the reaction.

Is there a way to recycle them somehow? Has anyone donated toys anywhere?

I truly really hate to see them sit in my toybox and do nothing!

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

Sharon

I'm allergic to latex...and sometimes the toys that are made with it I can't use.... nothing to do with the toy cleaner.

Sharon, do you read the label for the materials they are made from? I know a lot of sex toys are made from latex, which a lot of women are allergic too... Now would I buy a used 'sex toy', not sure...How many of us have used sex toy's with others?? I know we have!! lol lol But how safe are we when using other's sex toys? I don't mean to take your post to another level, but I was just wondering..... xoxo Shirley

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

I read somewhere that silicone doesn't hold body fluids like other sex toy materials, wether thats a marketing gimmick I don't know but for the using other peoples toys comment it's supposedly easier to clean fully. And damn is it fun having an excuse to buy new toys! :P Also I don't think I've heard of many silicone allergies before. And on the original question, I don't think there is any place other then a recycling centre that will just melt it down unless you have a friend that you play with and probably already used the toy that wants it

      make art with them

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

I tend to break a lot of them and have always just thrown them own.
I would think that you could have them out at sex parties or offer them to close friends.

Is there a convent near you? LMFAO There are always the guys who like to collect woman's undies...maybe they would like your used toys too. :)

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

I never thought about collecting someone else's. Mine always hit the garbage can.

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

Put them on E-bay Advertise as unwashed and hint that your a desperate House wife. You might make a Fortune.

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

This was my exact thoughts Shirley... we go to parties, toys are used (and usually several times) but what about someone giving you a gently used toy?
I do read labels, but sometimes it's a hit or miss reaction for me. Just like condoms, sometimes I'm fine with a brand and sometimes not.

we've only shared our toys with one girl and she is out of our lives. To much of a drama queen, no need for it here in my house!

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

lmao @ convent. I haven't seen one since I moved South.... all the catholics are back home in Boston lol

Broken ones I dun mind tossing out. But I have 2 in particular that have been used once, literally! I'm not one to waste things... so just tossing out is hard for me.

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

Ummmmmm.. now THAT's an idea. But...... wouldn't that get me into trouble? I've been banned from ebay once for trying to sell some naughty erotic stuff, not sure if I wanna get a reputation going

Have you considered puttting a non latex condom over them so the latex doesn't contact your skin

If I were you I would cover th toys in non latex condoms and get my money out of them. EASY CLEAN UP TOO!

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

Have you tried putting a non-latex condom on the toy?
Also wear latex free exam gloves while holding it... it might help
Just a thought.

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

      Here is my 2 cents.
Have you tried putting a non-latex condom on the toy. I have read that toys made from materials other than silicone should be used with a condom. Since the non-silicone material is porous it absorbs the fluids and even the best cleaners can't get to the porous parts to clean effectively after a while. You can find yourself with some infection like yeast, gardinela, or vaginitis down the road. So if a condom isn't used they need to be thrown away after a few months use. Don't know if boiling or steaming at high temp takes care of any germs in the porous toys.

If you are worried about toys, remember the old Klingon proverb: "Gagh is best eaten live"

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

      lmao

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

One toy in particular is very pliable and would never work with a condom (it's sort of like a sleeve to go on a toy) and another one...well not sure if there is a condom big enough lol

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

Could boil the glass pieces, but heck I have no issues with them things!

RE: Ok, I got an odd question, never seen a post on this issue

You could always wrap the whole thing in cling wrap. LOL
