Today as I sit here thinking about how 911 changed America Im still pissed off. Not only am I mad at the rag heads that sucker punched us. Unprovoked! They have changed America forever. Have taken away our innocence. Making us take off our shoes when entering the airport going through metal detector to visit our schools, city halls, or national monuments. We wonder if our drinking water is safe. We have to worry about when and were the next attack will come from. This is not the America we grew up in and its not the America we should leave to our kids. Im mad at the millions of folks whose resolve has faded and are willing to except these new realities. They make statements like if we would mind our own business bring our troops home this would not happen. Well I got news for them The united states of America is the greatest country that has blessed the face of this earth and theres not a nation on this planet that isn't better off because we existed. Im tired of folks espacaily our leaders denying or down playing our exceptionalism.
Well tomorrow besides morning our loses of ten years ago Im going to celebrate the young men that still have the resolve and have taken the fight were it belongs. In their back yard. These men and women make up the greatest fighting force ever known to men. I know its not easy seeing our fallen come home in bags or with limbs missing but they have chosen to make this great sacrifice and we should have the resolve to stand with them and quit complaining about the dollars it cost to support them. We can sacrifice here to. Each and every one of us know someone or is related to these heroes that are taking this fight away from us so we don't have to witness our innocent murdered in our streets again.
Thank god for our military men and women.

I'm so blessed to live in a country that is free to speak your piece of mind..and to choose your religion... This video is VERY powerful!! It reminds us our vulnerable we were!! YES, our country has changed! We had to make changes to our lifestyle(traveling) is the biggest change!
As I work with a lot of Military families, I've witnessed a lot! These military people that join up are paid almost below poverty level... And they still want to serve their country!! Some people have joined the military to get an education AND serve their country with pride!! Nothing wrong with that..
Here's a vid that I thought was deserving of this post...

RE: Ten years later
Thanks Shirley. Like you I well never forget. We have a small memorial on one of our walls in our home that includes a framed puzzle of the towers that lisa had put togather long before 911. This week I replaced the flag we normally fly with one that has all 3000 names on it. Thanks for what you do for our Soldiers. I have two sons in laws over there right now and my nephew shipped out to boot camp on august 8Th.

RE: Ten years later
Shirley, you know I hold you close to my heart, for the things you do. A friend very close by, also helps, similar to the way you do.
That morning, my wife asked, what's going on? My wife was rather blind, and could not see the TV she was watching. I/we watched the second plane hit. I/we were still there when the last plane, Was Brought Down.
For those every day people that help keep us safe, every day, a special, thank you.
I have tears for all who help keep our, people, country and world, a safer place to live.
My flag is out. It has two black ribbons on it. One is personal, the other is for all that have given their lives to make ares better
