RE: Christmas traditions
I have bought my boys an ornament every year which they look forward to getting. When they were younger we did the 12 days of christmas and they got to open a present everyday. Now that their older and tastes more expensive which means less gifts, we do the 1 gift on christmas eve. There is also a very well off neighbourhood that we visit to see the lights on christmas eve every year. |

We do the one gift on Christmas eve for our kids too. It's always a new book and pajamas. My mom started it with me and told me it was a book to keep us quiet and in bed on christmas eve and pajamas so we looked clean in the morning pictures. Mommy's are so smart lol |
RE: Christmas traditions
It is now time for me to start new traditions. Last year was my first year with no children in the house and I was devastated....cried my eyes out. Now this year is the Second, the shock of empty nest syndrome is over and I am taking Christmas as a blessing of new things to come for the year. I cherish my friends and family every day.... so Christmas is a time to celebrate me with some down time watching favorite Christmas movies and just enjoying the day with Todd. (and some eggnog lol) Ask in a few years to come when I have grandbabies and I'm sure it will be busy with cookies and cakes, etc!

RE: Christmas traditions
We have 3 daughters oldest being 28 and since she was born Christmas morning it was get up open presents and then get in the car and go to one grandparents house or another, Well this year I said "NO MORE". We are staying home for Christmas I'm getting to old for all this running around. Christmas is a time for family and its time we enjoyed our own family without traipsing all over New England to visit the extended families.

RE: Christmas traditions
Because there are so many of us now. On Christmas Eve which is today. There will be about 20 of us at my parents house around 1 p.m. or so. We will eat and the have a early Chrismas by opening our presents. After words some that come from out of town then will go home. Then what is left we will attend mass. Christmas Day we all head over to my sisters and her husbands house for brunch. John |
