just checking in to see which is most prefered.... when u view a ad would you rather see a pic of the cpls face or a xxx pic?
Personaly we rather a face shot. we can't tell by just a crotch shot if ur our type. |

Personally I hate to see someones private parts being thrust into my face.There are some pictures that have nudity and private parts that are tasteful....that's fine in my book. If I am interested in seeing your private parts up close and personal I would request private shots.
To me it is just tactless and truly shows me that you are not as serious in "swinging" as a lifestyle but rather quick fixes,etc.

I want to see a clean pic, something that makes me wanna see more. It doesn't have to be your face. I don't have my face on my profile pics per my hubby's request because there are too many people out there just browsing through.
I agree on the XXX pics, they tell me nothing about you. It's nice to include them along with clean pics :) I truly do like a good dick pic but thats just me lol |

We prefer face pics too! Body pics are nice to have too. They don't need to be nude. We just want to know what the every day "you" looks like. If we like what we see, we may politely ask to see your private pictures. The other thing we hate to see is blurry pictures. Please take the time to post good clear pictures in your profile as well as fill out a good profile. Your not going to attract anyone's interest by throwing up a bad picture and ten words in your profile. Think of it this way. The pictures and profile you post are how people perceive you. Just like looking in a mirror. They want to see a attractive reflection. Just our opinion.

i can see some of your points about private parts but i dont think that by posting those pics your not serious some of us are in positions where as we want the choice in who we allow to really see us, so does our descretion make us not serious |

Choosing discretion with your face pics doesn't mean you need to choose a XXX pic as everyones first impression of you as a couple. I would agree with the posters when they say this type of pic lends itself to the impression of looking for a quick hook up and not necessarily being interested in the swinging lifstyle. This may or may not be the impression you are trying to make. |

We don't include our real names or faces in our public profile for fear of our children (one adult, one teen, two elementary school age) or coworkers coming across them. But we do have them in our private gallery. It's a tough call. I enjoy seeing a female's body but not very excited by close-up pussy shots and I do agree that 2 pages of nothing but cock-shots is a total turn-off. |

Face pics......... And we wanna see face pics not to see if they're pretty, but just to know they're serious about meeting and to see if they're our type....
We've seen awesome body shots of people and when we saw them in real life we both wondered if they knew their man was gay......... [:bananahump:] And somehow we found that the more they are into fitness, working out, perfect bodies and health stuff the shallower they are. Maybe it's just us, but we'd rather be with regular people, that enjoy a stiff drink now and then, good food and a good laugh.

It's certainly your choice to post pics that you are comfortable with and I will be the first to say "go for it." Please do not be offended by others opinions, you know what they say about opinions....yadda, yadda, yadda :lol: We certainly do enjoy viewing nudity when tactfully done and once we have talked and know a little about those in the pics. Opening a profile to see nothing but nude body parts does not impress us, we may look and like what we see but would prefer to know the person before seeing what their clothes hide.
Certainly continue as you are comfortable but please allow me to point out that many who have posted in this thread are not trying to judge but to reveal likes and dislikes in pic posting, educational to say the very least.

Both Lu and I did the fuck buddy thing and reverse dated as single so we don't see what the issue with Craigslist might be. After all, we're not looking for poly or to be exclusive or to marry other people.
We just don't get the FWB thing, I mean, we have a life, kids, work, bills, family, time of the mth, arguments, decreased/increased libido, stress, weather, mood, PMS, insomnia, lack of sleep, yeast infections, sore VG/ penis(we get that when we have sex 3-4 times/day for weeks) last moment trips to the ER with one of our 4 kids that decides to see how many popcorn kernels could fit in his/her nose/years, etc.
So we go out swinging every cpl mths or so, most of those times we don't play with others but just have fun, flirt and feel sexy(slutty), and other times we just wanna fawk.
Chances of all 4 ppl being compatible, available and in the mood several times a year are so remote that we don't expect "FWB" and "getting to know".

Please do not give up, hang in and state your opinions as you are. I really am trying to understand your point of view and regardless, I respect it. I totally understand that many are not comfortable posting face pics and will post nude pics only to their private gallery. Your thinking is slightly different to many but certainly not wrong.

I like nudes! I even like close-ups of body parts! I like to see the human body from all angles. Both clothed and not.
How you wish to display your photos or what is displayed is up to the poster.
This type of posting is always about "A Face" photo. Some of us "Can't or Shouldn't" have a face photo as a profile photo or public photo. Fine! But "Just a crotch shot"? I'm just not that interested in just a crotch shot. I'd rather see someone riding off into the sunset on their harly.
I feel some kind of full body photos, of both, in the same photo should be in the public photos. I don't care if there is no head. Don't matter, front, back or side.Nude or not. Just that your real.
Private photos are a different topic. Also, after we talk, my expectations will change, as for what I expect if we are to meet in person.

I like to see a good mix. A face pic tells us you are for real, but a lot of people don't like their faces in public. I also like to compare the nice pic to the nude.......so many ppl post fake pics. |

mixerman61. please don't take offence. this thread was not ment to bash on anyone. I just asked it to see where ppls heads where at for this. If you want to post xxx shots thats totally up to you and some ppl really enjoy that. Yes most ppl want face pics. But as your not comfy with that, then you shouldn't do it, stick by what ur comfy with. A way to work around it tho is to take a pic of u both and black out ur faces on ur profile, but then ppl see you with clothes on (or off at a distance) it gives them a better idea if you might be some one they are intereted in. U can always post actual face pics in ur privet pics and give them to only the ppl u want. We personally like face/body pics that are g-rated , not that we are against xxx pics but just seeing a crotch shot or breast shot doesn't tell us anything about u, if ur what we are looking for afterr abit they all just seem to look the same. But u should really go what what ur comfy with and not worrie about doing somthing wrong, its not wrong alot of ppl do it. its all about the persons own comfort zone. |

me and my husband have no problem showing our faces but this is the internet. people may use our pictures in other ways. and both are families are completley closed minded about sex. and we dont want people meeting us and saying ugh. and wasting our time. |

I certainly would not want our pics to be anywhere except where we place them so I totally understand why someone would be concerned about pic hackers. But where could a pic be used that would raise an eye brow of a family member or friend. If someone hacks a pic and places it on a porn site or another swinger site, if family or friends stumble upon it then they are not as closed minded as one may think.
As I have said many times, swinging is not without risk and I absolutely refuse to alter my actions out of fear of the actions of another.

for us, we like gin refuse to change our lifestyle for fear of what others will think. If our family finds out and doesn;t approve, well that sucks to be them. its not their life its ours. it makes us happy, our relationship is very strong and healthy and happy. and like so many have said if ppl stumble onto our pics on a swingers site well they are face pics, so they shouldnt get a shock, and also does anyone actually stumble onto a swingers site ? its kinda one of them things that if u open and get into a web page for swingers, then ur interested in some way so they shouldn't judge us. we don't think anyone should judge us for our lifestyle picks. untill they life our lifes, pay our bills, and raise our kids they can't say crap to us. |

We had the ultimate fear happen, well it was the ultimate fear at the time. Someone, we have no clue who, informed Tony's family that we were members here on SwingTowns. His family came here, created an eronious profile and became friends with our friends, chatted in the chatroom and in the forums. I felt something wasn't right with who they said they were and eventually it was confirmed.
We were more angry that they went to such lengths to spy on us and invade our lives and the lives of our friends than we were that they found out we were swinging.
This has been many years ago and basically they had to accept it or move on. All is well in the family and the subject never has come up again.
So when the beans are spilled it isn't always as bad as one may think it would be.

Personally, it doesn't really matter to us, as long as there are pics of the actual people - XXX or non. I totally understand that some people want to hide their faces and only reveal them later - no biggy, but no pic at all (especially on a non-paid account) means there is low street cred and all the likelihood of a faker or 'bot instead of real people. Both of us love getting to see the hot shots as well as the body & facial shots. It should be left to personal preference.

Well my face photos might be the end of where I live, as we speak!
A neighbor just found me on line. I say she, She does not like my wearing my too short, shorts in the yard. "strutting my stuff"
This person knows OF me and my family but has all the details wrong. She has made some vicious attacks about my wife and I. I don't believe she knows my wife is dead.
She has accused me of just looking for group sex with anybody I can find.
The HOA is now on my back. This could get out of hand quickly, where I live. HELL, I could be in the paper, under town gossip without this person needing to reveling there name.
With in the last 13 years, my family has been in the papers many times 7 or 8 times. All with photos. Once a half front page layout.
Small towns, ya! But my neighbors are fucking rich! And way to many want to be's
I'll just have to ride this out and see how far it goes. I may just be over reacting and nothing will come of it.

This is/was about "face" photos and or XXX photos. It's just some should not have public "face" photos. It can get them in trouble.
On the other hand. If it is to go further then just chit chat here on line, they should let the other person see what they look like.
I have gone as far as down load a photo so only one person could see it and then deleted it.

Well, the hell with the neighbors, Lu got our house in '05 when I was in Europe, so our next door 70 yo ones asked in '08 when I returned from Europe how come a WOP and a GOOK can afford a home in "their neighborhood", and to have the vehicles we had - if all the kids are mine?! to upset them I answered that we don't even have a mortgage cause we paid cash. We do have a mortgage and is quite high since we bought at peak, but they don't know that and would've linched us if they could.
And they been meddling in our lives ever since, spreading rumors and crap, asking how come I don't have a job - we're both self employed but told them I'm on welfare - they just about died - just can't seem to figure why a guy with an accent doesn't wash toilets for a living and live under a bridge. Never cared to ask what I did in my youth or if I have an education probably because they think all foreigners are raised by wolves......Called the cops and had me charged when I shot a cpl of birds(nice clean shots in full flight too) that were attacking the kids in the backyard; told them I'll shoot them too. They got 4 kids, in 3 yrs never saw them visiting - wonder why.......
Now they sold their house, they're finally moving to a condo - she's got cancer, I hope she lives a long time, with the cancer.
