How far would you travel
I have been offered by two different couples and a single man, from Swingtowns, a plane ticket to fly me to where they live just to meet. Now I don't know how serious they are cause I haven't taken any of them up on the offer. It got me to thinking, just how far would someone or a couple travel to meet and greet other swingers? |

We personally would not travel more than an hour for a first meet which is not to say we wouldn't travel further for people we already know. If we really click with someone who lives further then we would try to meet whenever life brings them this way or us their way. |

Todd drove all the way from Charlotte to Boston to meet me, but it was after months of chatting and getting to know one another.
As for traveling and flying you in to meet, I am not sure I would go for that at all because I have heard horror stories both in the swinging lifestyle and outside of it. Honestly for every one good experience I've heard twice as many bad ones for various reasons including not hitting it off, stuck in a strange environment, waste of time, to sexual assault.
SwingTowns provides a great opportunity and I truly believe that 80% of us have good intentions... it's just those other nimrods that fuck it up for us!

travel a lot anyway so always nice to meet some great folks...but since we live in Las Vegas, it's at least a destination of its own...always willing to meet people coming this way... |

The two largest cities, closest to my house, are over 100 miles. (A guess} 80% of, the swingers, clubs, parties and events, are, in and around this area. It's Denver.
So for an average M&G, is 130 miles. Time, one way, minimum, 3 hours. Max on a 150 mile trip, one way, 9 hours.
Max, M&G 700 miles. Minimum, 35 miles.
Got to love the mountains.

We have set a rough travel time of 2 hours for a meet and greet. We have traveled further to meet a couple that we had been chatting with on line for 2 or 3 months.
We travel 2 hours regularly to a club in the closest city, Ottawa.
To us it depends on the couple and the plans that we make. 2 hours is a long way to travel for a coffee ;).

As Sharon stated, I drove 840 miles to meet her. The first meet was at a restaurant with 2 of her kids and her niece. Talk about safety in numbers. The next day I did not see her at all. Good thing I was at the Radison and had my car with me so I could site see. The third day after she got off work we packed her bags and we headed south for ten days of fun and adventure. I did not want her to leave. Sometimes the travel is worth it for a meet, But if it does not work out, So what, Do something else instead and make it an adventure. Thats what we do now when meetings do not work out. |

I normally call a friend or two and tell them I'll be around. They know why I'm in town, so there are no real expectations. We almost always get together for lunch or something anyway.

I beleive in long distance relationship may its just for play also but thn and seen a few of cpl who had crossed oceans to meet one is elderly aged cpl and the other is young but they are now living with each other for more than a decade so talk to them if u drop in there will it be just a playtime or will it be for a LTR and choose which one best suits u |

i didnt get any offer but the lady came down to meet me all the way crossing oceans and it was first m&g in person been talking on phone, computer, for months so all was fine . |

The Furthest I have traveled was around 240km, we both try to take the trip every couple months, and totally worth it! |

I guess we don't really have a limit. We both love to travel. So after a lot of communication and of course as funds and time allow, we would travel just about anywhere. We love new adventures! It's great to make new friends in different parts of the country.

At this point Shirley & I would drive about 6 hours in any direction... From Mo, thats damn ner 1/2 way to N,E,S,OR WEST LOL I wouldn't advise any single women to just jump on a plane to meet someone... But now if your going to do this them make sure you have a rental car reserved in your name when you get to the airport... That way if the meeting is a bad deal, then you'll have control of getting the hell out of there & not having to relying on a cab drive that only speaks sign language :donald: :beer: |

We normally weren't traveling anymore than 25 miles outside of our area up until recently, we decided it might be fun to meet other couples outside the area, we met a cpl on line about 2 wseeks ago on their profile they stated that they had up to this point only had been having mmf 3somes and now wanted to meet cpl's, they asked if we could drive to meet them as their car was not running right and we had no problem with it at all even though i had just gotten home 14 hours earlier from work after driving 3800 miles that week, we drove the 2 hours, met for dinner talked and all was good we spent about 4 hours getting to know each other as much as you can in 4 hours, it was 2am when we finally said we had to get heading home but all agreed to get together soon and set up something for an earlier time to do it, we drove the 2 hours back home and were feeling good about these people, the next day the wife texed me saying they had a great time but the husband wasn't sure yet and he didnt know how he would feel about another guy having sex with her, i texed her back and asked how does that work? if you have only been having mmf 3somes, i said wasnt the other men having sex with you with him there and she said yes, i said look it's ok if you guy's weren't interested in going any farther as we know were not everyone's cup of tea but just be honest about it, she replied back oh no my husband found your wife vwery attractive it had nothing to do with her at all and that she was attracted to me, i figured i didn't want to stir up any problems so i left the conversation with well it was a pleasure meeting you guys and we wish you the best of luck in whatever it is your looking for, not meaning to get into a long rant but even with that negative experience we would travel again to meet someone... it happens i guess.. |
