To tell or not to tell

Although it is really your own business, do you tell your friends you are in the lifestyle?

RE: To tell, or not to tell....

I have told 2 friends, some family members know! They have all accepted it as that's just us! lol lol lol xoxo Shirley

RE: To tell, or not to tell....

We have very selectively told some friends. Actually it did pay off unexpected one night when at one of our friends houses having dinner. We did not bring it up, they did.

My boss knows, A couple of co-workers also. My sister knows. And a few of my friends know. Not to worried about it. I am not ashamed of being myself.

RE: To tell, or not to tell....

I keep my social life and regular life as separate as I can as they really don't mesh well. Everyone who knows me understands my viewpoints on certain topics are very broad and debatable so I think that the topic has been discussed and my admitting to being a swinger really wasn't needed. For instance, one time my Father said to me "I think we have swingers next door" (that was because it was card night every Friday) So I said "Dad you wouldn't know what a swinger is.... do you want me to go check it out for you?" Like I said I didn't need to say it, but if my dad was in tune to the discussion, he could have figured it out for himself!

Lol Damn it girl you're so cool about it.. SugarBear..

RE: To tell, or not to tell....

We don't flaunt it but our close non swinging friends know and accept us. On same topic does anyone ever find it hard to coordinate their limited time to socialize between their two sets if friends?

RE: To tell, or not to tell....

A few, friends and relatives know. What they know depends on how much I wished to share. As in, my likes, dislikes and preferences. Those I save for those that need to know.

RE: To tell, or not to tell....

No one really knows... we have to be very careful.... we have 6 kids between us... they range from 22-6 Not ashamed just family comes first for us

We don't hide and we don't advertise. Various circumstances in both our lives (divorces, moving, job changes etc...)have made it that neither of us has loads of friends or are very close with our families.

Some friends know and some don't, only a cousin of mine knows. I have always been careful of who I share my shit with. Most people were shocked when my marriage broke up (they thought I lived in wedded bliss when in actual fact it was really bad for over a decade).

Most but not all of the people we socialize with on a regular basis are in the lifestyle.

RE: To tell, or not to tell....

We live in a town so small that you could throw a rock from end to end.....I think I heard that in a song once?? :) Having our friends, family, or co-workers know would drastically impact our lives. In fact, if my boss found out...I would be terminated for "inappropriate" behavior........as it reads in our ethics clause. :(

RE: To tell, or not to tell....

Guess I am in a unique position, my G-parents have been in the lifestyle since the 40's. Also several other members of the family and friends.
