How far are you willing to travel to meet someone? Would you fly? Today's economy has taken a toll on travelling for us! I was just wondering how far you all would travel to meet someone...Give us your thoughts....xoxo Shirley |

We don't travel too much due to Todd's work and everytime we think we can save up for something... something else pops up!

I(male) will not fly. It is not because I am afraid, I have flown before, one time because of my job at the time and the other was a heck of a deal to get my sister home for the holidays, it is more the cost factor. Like a lot of things, I feel there is no justification for the price. The other reason is the control factor. When traveling, I like to be in control of the vehicle I am in and the time I have to depart and arrive. With that said I think I would be willing to drive a couple hours to meet someone if we can make a weekend out of it. Not one to drive 2 hours or more and tuen around a drive right back. |

Can't see us flying just to meet someone but if circumstances had it that we were going somewhere where someone we had chatted with lived then we would try to set up a meeting.
As time goes on we are less and less inclined to travel long distances for people we haven't meet yet.
As with most money is very tight so currently we stay close to home and travel only about an hour to events or homes with our LS friends. |

With the economy being what it is we have limited our travel to about 2 maybe 3 hours or about a 100 miles or less. Currently the on premise club we go to regularly is about 85 miles one way.

I enjoy driving so we will go up to 8 hrs each way . if it's warm weather we will ride the bike 6 hrs each way . |

I've already started a 'cookie jar' fund especially for meeting people that are a little farther than just 2 hrs. away! Woohoo!! They do say patience is a virtue!! But as far as flying, sorry my feet don't leave the ground!! lol But where there is a will, there is a way!! :sexywink: xoxo Shirley |

We would never fly for a "maybe". If we knew them and have played before, then perhaps......but as cheap as I am...I would roll that up with a vacation in the area. Like if we are going to Lousiana to visit relatives....we might check out someone down there. :) |

The ability to fly cheap has all but disappeared, so the most I will do is travel a few hours. It's all good though... Once and if the economy pics up, then jumping on a Southwest flight, doable |
